I have it working sucessfully. This is how I did it:

1. After you download WVista go into the folder.

2. In the folder there is readme and wvista. Drag wvista into your common folder.

3. Go into your web browser and in the address bar type file:/psp/common/vista.swf with no spaces

4. Now it should open. Enjoy!

These are just some of the errors you could've made while setting up the portal.
I'm making my own portal with some theme options.
It'll be pretty small though.
(Only games, videos, webpages etc.)

Youll have to let us test it out for you Kespen, I like portals, remember to upload somewhere and give us link.

And make a thread for us to give you feedback.

(Not that id want to tell you what to do or anything

The reason this portal is called windows vista is that all the menus etc. are graphically designed to look like windows vista. In reality however it has nothing to do with microsoft or windows vista.

It's a flash object, hence why it has .swf on the end of the filename and therefore requires flash player to be activated. I really feel sorry for the people with no wireless internet connection who want to use this that are not on custom firmware.

EDIT2: So i put the wvista file in PSP>COMMON? Then i go 2 web browser and type file:/psp/common/wvista/vista.swf then it will do it?no internet?

Sorry for not replying sooner guys ive been away with cadets and got back last night. rather than reply to each PM individually im going to post here so other people can see them. now im gonna go and work probs out await my return with answers

1. You need to extract the .RAR file in order to get the portal.

2. If You get a message saying "content cannot be displayed" try checking the URL.

3. Downloading the files, I have problems downloading using Opera, but it works fine with IE 6. ill try and find a place where i can host it. (Anyone know of anyplace tell me)

4. When typing the URL you need to make sure you type in "file:/psp/common/wvista/vista.swf" (without quotes) otherwise it might not work.
